Hey there!
I hope you are doing well today. My goal for this newsletter is to encourage and inform you about birth, postpartum and parent mental health. My goal for the Finding Your Village podcast is to make the early days of parenting more connected, so I will also highlight the most recent episodes of this show below.
My encouragement for today is about mindfulness. Psychology Today defines mindfulness as, “a state of active, open attention to the present. This state is described as observing one’s thoughts and feelings without judging them as good or bad.”
Last year, I learned that depression is when you are living in the past and anxiety is when you are living in the future. This year, I encourage you to live in the present and practice mindfulness. A great way to practice mindfulness is to meditate. One of my favorite quick, easy and birth/postpartum related meditation apps is Mind the Bump. It is free and most of the sessions take less than 10 minutes to complete!
Like Pamela Pupkin says, this year let’s, “punch depression and kick anxiety in the beanbag!”
In case you missed it…

Hi Team,
My name is Larisa, and I am the co-founder of HypnoBirthApp.com and ContractionTimerTL.com.
I have noticed that you are linking out to Mind The Bump, which is discontinued at this point.
Please check out our apps. Our Hypnobirthing TL app has helped over 200.000 pregnant women since the end of 2019. Recently, we have released Contraction Timer TL, which uses AI to guide moms-to-be when to prepare or go to the hospital.
Please let me know if you would like to review our apps and include them in your list. I am happy to send you promo codes so you can review the apps in full.
Our Hypnobirthing app has been featured on ORCHA NHS, which tells you that we are here to stay and help pregnant women.
Looking forward to your review.
Thank you!
